Diamond is a manufacturer of light aircraft based in Austria with manufacturing in Ontario, Canada. The company originally produced gliders and motor gliders. The first light aircraft developed was the DV20 Katana (now known as the DA20 Katana) which was developed in 1993, an improved version was built in Canada.
The Diamond DA20 Katana is a single engine two seat light aircraft. Introduced in 1993 and originally called the DV20 and built in Austria and Canada, with the Canadian versions named DA20.

Powered by the Rotax 912 engine and certified in 1993.

A refurbished DV20 with an upgraded Rotax 912S engine.
DA20-C1 Katana and Katana Eclipse
Powered by the Continental IO-240 125hp engine driving 2 blade fixed pitch propeller and has aerodynamic improvements. The aircraft has Garmin G500 glass cockpit avionics.
DA20-C1 Evolution
A stripped down basic version of the C1 aimed at flight schools and powered by the IO-240.
DA20-C1 Eclipse
This is a better equipped C1 for the private market.
DA20-C1 Falcon
This is the Military trainer version of the aircraft with the flight instruments moved to the right hand side - in front of the student and having a side stick controller.
DA20i Katana
Powered by the Rotax 912 iSc3 Sport driving a 2 bladed constant speed propeller. The aircraft is fitted with Garmin G500 avionics.
